Dr. Emily Busch was born and raised in a small town in Northern New York. She completed her undergraduate studies at George Mason University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, where she developed a strong foundation in strength and conditioning principles. During this time, she also completed an internship in the S.M.A.R.T. Lab (Sports Medicine Assessment Research & Testing), gaining experience with performance and fitness assessments, including gait analysis testing.
She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Shenandoah University in 2022. Following graduation, Emily completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency through the Virginia Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Institute (VOMPTI) in 2023.
In 2024, Emily achieved board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS)—an advanced designation held by only ~5% of physical therapists nationwide.
After completing her residency, Emily moved to Colorado, where she became certified in dry needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy and completed an additional functional dry needling certification through Evidence in Motion.
Emily values treating patients one-on-one to provide individualized, holistic care and help them return to the activities they love. She enjoys working with the active population and has a special interest in treating endurance athletes and climbers.
An accomplished endurance athlete herself, Emily has completed a full Ironman, three half Ironman races, a full marathon, and two half marathons. Outside of the clinic, Emily enjoys running, skiing, climbing, biking, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her dog, Cass, as well as reading and spending time with friends.
